Best padel rackets for women in 2026

There is no women's padel geometry. What there is, is a lighter end of the weight range — and that is a real variable worth choosing deliberately.

The short answer

The Bullpadel Indiga W is the lightest round frame Padel Market name for beginners and the best starting point if 360 g already feels like a lot in the hand. The adidas RX Series Light is the head-light alternative, and the Babolat Technical Veron 3.0 is the step up once you are playing competitively.

The picks in detail

01Bullpadel Indiga W

Top pick
Bullpadel Indiga W
Product image via Amazon

Best for: The lightest round frame available

Padel Market name the Indiga W as the lightest round frame in their beginner set, with a soft core. Those two facts together describe exactly the racket most people are looking for when they search for a women's padel racket: forgiving geometry at the bottom of the weight range.

Light matters more in padel than people expect. The court is small, the ball comes back off glass, and a large share of shots are reaction volleys at the net rather than prepared groundstrokes. A racket you can get into position quickly beats a racket that hits harder when the exchange is two feet from your face.

The published spec sheet for this frame is thinner than for the Babolat frames — weight is listed as light rather than as a number — so we have not invented a figure. If an exact gram count matters to you, the Babolat Contact at a stated 340 g is the frame with the fullest published specification.

02adidas RX Series Light

Best balance
adidas RX Series Light

Best for: A head-light, control-first swing

Padel Market describe the RX Series Light as head-light and control-first, with a soft core and a soft face, and single it out as an easy-swinging pick for a player still building a padel technique. Head-light is the specification that makes a racket feel lighter than its weight.

That is worth separating from raw weight, because the two are different levers. Balance decides how much effort it takes to change the racket's direction; weight decides how much mass arrives at the ball. A head-light frame at the same weight as a head-heavy one is markedly quicker to reposition.

The trade is the obvious one: head-light and soft means almost no free power. If your complaint is that your shots sit up for your opponents rather than that you cannot get the racket there in time, this is the wrong direction to move in.

03Babolat Contact

Best documented
Babolat Contact

Best for: A published spec sheet at a forgiving weight

At 340 g with a round head, a soft EVA core and composite face and frame, the Contact is at the lighter end of the padel range with the most completely published specification of anything here. It is also the top pick on our main [best padel rackets](/padel/best-rackets) page, on the same reasoning.

It is on this page because 340 g is a genuinely light padel racket, and because a stated figure is more useful than a marketing adjective. If you are trying to compare what you currently own against what you might buy, you need a number on both sides.

It is not the lightest frame here and it is not head-light, so a player at the very bottom of the strength range may still prefer the Indiga W. That is the only reason it is in second place rather than first on this particular page.

04Babolat Technical Veron 3.0

Best step up
Babolat Technical Veron 3.0

Best for: Moving up to competitive play

At 360 g with a Carbonflex face, Babolat position this as the softest frame in their 2026 technical collection and aim it at the versatile competitor. It is the step up this page resolves to, because the honest answer to outgrowing a light beginner racket is usually a heavier one.

That is worth saying plainly, because the lighter-is-better framing stops being true at some point. Once your technique is settled and you are driving the ball rather than blocking it, extra mass through contact is what stops the ball getting pushed around by a harder-hit opponent.

Twenty grams is a real increase and you will feel it for the first few sessions. If you are not sure you are ready, the Nox Nextgen Pro Hybrid 3K on our [best padel rackets](/padel/best-rackets) page is the intermediate rung between the two.

What a women's padel racket actually is

It is worth being precise about this, because the search term is popular and the honest answer is more useful than the marketing one. Padel rackets are not built to different geometries for men and women. There is no women's head shape, no women's core and no women's string bed, because there is no string bed at all — the face is a solid perforated surface.

What does exist is a weight and balance range, and a handful of models aimed at the lighter end of it, sometimes with a W in the name and usually in a different colourway. That is not cynical: a lighter, head-light frame genuinely suits a player with less mass to put behind the racket, and the lighter end of the range is under-served by the marketing, which is overwhelmingly about power frames.

So the practical version of the question is: which rackets sit at the light, forgiving, head-light end? That is a question with a real answer, and it is the question this page is built around. It also means a man who wants a quick, forgiving racket should read this page too, and vice versa.

Weight and balance are two different levers

Most people shopping for a lighter racket are actually shopping for a racket that is easier to move, and those are not the same specification. Two frames can weigh the same and feel completely different depending on where the mass sits.

  • Weight is how much mass arrives at the ball. More weight resists being pushed around by a hard-hit ball and adds to a smash. Less weight is easier on the arm and quicker overall.
  • Balance is where that mass sits. Head-light puts it toward your hand, which makes the racket much faster to reposition for the same total weight. Head-heavy puts it toward the tip, which is where smash power comes from.
  • The combination that suits most improving players is moderate weight with a head-light balance: enough mass to be stable, placed where it does not slow your hands down.

Padel's weight range is narrow compared with tennis — roughly thirty grams from end to end — which means balance does proportionally more of the work. Padel racket weight covers how to pick a number, and how to choose a padel racket puts shape, core and weight in order.

How these picks were made

Racket & Rally does not run a test lab. Nothing on this page is written as though we had hit with, worn or measured anything ourselves, because we have not. What we do instead is read the published specification sheets and the third-party lab measurements cited at the foot of the page, set them against each other, and say which differences change something you will notice.

Every product here is already in our registry, which means it carries a cited retailer or review source and a verified listing. Our full selection criteria set out the method, and the editorial policy covers corrections and how often pages are revisited. Prices are never written into the page — the number on each buy button is the live one.

Common questions

What is the best padel racket for women?

The Bullpadel Indiga W is the lightest round frame Padel Market name for beginners, which makes it the best starting point if weight is your binding constraint. The adidas RX Series Light is the head-light alternative, and the Babolat Contact is the one with a fully published 340 g specification.

Are women's padel rackets different?

Not geometrically. There is no women's head shape or core. What exists is a lighter, often head-light end of the weight range, and a handful of models aimed at it. That is a real and useful distinction, but it is about weight and balance rather than about gender.

How heavy should a woman's padel racket be?

At the lighter end of padel's roughly 340 to 370 g range, and head-light if you can find it. Weight is only half the answer though — a head-light frame feels considerably quicker than a head-heavy frame of the same weight.

Should a beginner buy a round or teardrop padel racket?

Round, regardless of who is holding it. A round head puts the sweet spot low and central, which is where a developing player makes contact. Teardrop and diamond shapes move it up the face toward where smash power is generated.

Can I use a men's padel racket?

Yes — there is no such thing in any meaningful sense. Choose on shape, core hardness, weight and balance, and ignore the colourway. The same applies in reverse: a frame with a W in the name is simply a light, forgiving racket.
